MACKENZIE RECREATIONAL RIDERS

"Working together to create safe, fun, and inclusive horse-related experiences in a supportive environment."

The Mackenzie Recreational Riders are a fairly small group of people interested in horses, riding, and care. The club was formed on 3 August 2017 so it is still quite young.

There are 26 family memberships in the club, from early teens to mid-60s,

and each have interests in various disciplines. Gatherings are often spontaneous depending on the current memberships at the time.

During the year, there are activities, such as the 'Have-a-Go' dressage day and kids fun/games days. Future activities to try will be 'Have-a-Go' obstacle days and 'Have-a-Go' jumping days

When – Most organised horse days have been scheduled in the weekends

Where – A casual arena and jumps are situated on the corner of Glen Lyon Rd and North West Arch Rd

Membership is $30 per year. This goes towards the maintenance and purchasing of equipment. Membership runs from 1 September–31 August.

Annual general meetings are held in September of each year.
