Twizel Cricket Club (TCC) was started to allow children in the Mackenzie Basin the opportunity to play cricket in the South Canterbury cricket competition. Children aged 5 to 13 years can play.
The TCC aims to:

Create a platform where kids can actively participate in sports and develop physically and socially.

Have fun playing cricket

Enjoy being part of a team

The cricket season begins around Labour Weekend till school finishes and resumes when school goes back at the start of the year through till late-March (roughly about six to eight games before Christmas and the same after Christmas).
A, B1, and B2 grades play on Saturday mornings and games are located around South Canterbury. C grade games are played on Friday afternoons.
Practices are on Thursday evenings from 5.00–6.30pm in Twizel on the school field, and Monday evenings 4.00–5.30pm in Tekapo on the school field.*
Transport is generally organised in a car-pool style.
Registration costs are $40 for the season and the only other costs are providing white cricket pants.*
