MOTORCROSS

WILLIAM ROGERS

William started riding a motorbike as a four-year-old, and from day one, he was very  keen. William joined the South Canterbury Motorcross club at the age of five years. His parents Matt and Kate soon recognised William’s commitment, determination, and passion for the sport of motorcross. This was more than just a hobby.

William soon started racing and he hasn't stopped since. He started racing a KTM-SX50, and had much success on this bike. He is now racing a KTM SX65 and has a good chance to be top of the table this year.

Living in Twizel requires a lot of dedication as quite a few miles are travelled to get to races.

The motorcross season runs from July to June, with a break in January.

Points are accumulated each month and accumulate towards the total club points for the year.

The club have monthly meets around the South Canterbury region, requiring extreme dedication from both parents and kids to race.

Anyone who may be keen to join the club, ring Matt Rogers and he will point you in the right direction.
